Privacy policy

How Meridian Manage handles personal data — aligned with the UAE PDPL and the operational realities of Dubai property management.

1. Who we are

Meridian Manage is operated by SM-Stratagem, a Dubai-based software provider. References to “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SM-Stratagem in this policy.

2. What we collect

  • Account data — name, email, role, organisation, phone.
  • Operational data — properties, buildings, tenants, leases, cheques, maintenance, vendor records and documents your team uploads to run your operations.
  • Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, IP address, device and browser metadata.
  • Communications — enquiries you send us via the contact form, email or phone.

3. How we use it

  • To provide the service: portals, dashboards, document storage, compliance scoring, notifications.
  • To prove compliance: maintaining audit trails required by DLD, RERA, Civil Defence and your internal controls.
  • To support you: troubleshooting, answering questions, sending product updates.
  • To improve the product: aggregated, anonymised analytics on feature usage.

4. Legal basis (PDPL)

We process personal data under the lawful bases set out in the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL): consent, contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests.

5. Where data is stored

Customer data is stored in regional data centres operated by our processors (Neon Postgres, Vercel Blob). Documents are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access is restricted via role-based permissions and audit-logged.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • Sub-processors that run the platform (hosting, email, error monitoring).
  • Authorities, where required by UAE law.
  • Your own users, according to the access rules you configure.

7. Retention

Operational data is retained for the life of the customer relationship plus 7 years to meet regulatory record-keeping obligations (DLD, RERA). Account data is retained for the life of the relationship plus 1 year.

8. Your rights

  • Access, rectification, erasure and portability of your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
